Dad, Lot one, Laksa and Pie Kia

Home early today and was opening up fridge and cabinets to get rid of the itchiness in my mouth. To my dismay, tidbits were all gone and those left were not desirable enough for me. Dad saw me finding food and he said, “Hungry? Come, I bring you go eat.” Even though I was not hungry, just that my mouth was just finding something to chew on, I was like yeah, let’s go. We went to Lot one and Dad wanted to try the new Pie Kia store, selling pies. We went to Food Junction, the new food court to eat first. I told Dad that I want to share with him and he was like, yes yes, but after I ordered lasksa he went to order fish ball noodle! Boo! Daddy wants me to be fat! After our afternoon snacks, we walked around Lot One and discuss about tenant mix, what attracts people to a mall, and the food trends. It’s been quite a while since I just have my Dad to myself, did not chat about anything much, but it was just nice, to have my Dad for awhile.

Daddy bought backs some pies and reminded me to get some for Enard. Enard have always been my Daddy’s favorite girl, while smelly Ming, mama’s favorite boy. I’m sort of in-between. J

Pie Kia’s pies are actually a subsidiary of Old Chang Kee and the first branch is at Choa Chu Kang Interchange. When it first opened, the smell was delectable, and pies were always sold out even when I wanted to buy. But soon after, the smell of those pies turned noisome to me. It was really not worth it, there are bakery that sells better, crispier, bigger pies at the same price. *gags*
