Lucky girl

Today was really quite an eventful day for me. First in the morning, the bus driver forgets to stop at the bus stop and have to let the passengers off at the split junction of the expressway. But when I alight from the bus, I fell straight down and the damaged my pride. I considered myself lucky as I was planning on wearing a skirt but something just stopped me and my hand grabbed the pants instead. If not, my leg will be bleeding.

It was pouring when I left for work inspection and the first cab I got into, the uncle said he will not have the time to drive me to 2 places therefore I got off and hired another cab. While onboard the other cab I was finding my handphone and I thought I left it in office, so I asked the driver to turn back. When I can’t find it, then I know that the careless me have left it in the first cab. The first few call I made, it sound like someone have found it and shut it off. I thought, there is no way I will get my handphone back in this situation. Luckily thanks to my sister, mother, aunt and colleague help, who bombarded my phone with calls, the cab driver returned the phone back with a $6 taxi fare charge.

Headed back to office after my inspection to get my handphone from my sister and rushed over to Plaza Singapore to meet Gab.  We went to Sinema Old School which is located at Mt Sophia. That place oozes old school charm with a few low rise building and a museum. According to Gab, a few renowned photographers, graphic designers, etc office is located there. Sinema showcase local /Asian/international art shows and on Tuesday there is free screening of short films by students.

The cinema has great red sofa seats but after awhile its get uncomfortable as the sofa was too slouchy.

I am however quite impressed by the standard of ITE students. Their short films are actually quite good, and were executed quite nicely.

There is also a café outside called Recess with a live band. This place if properly marketed can be like the next Dempsey. It is really a nice chill out place. However I like the way it is right now, without so many people where people can relax and have conversations.

Gab allowed me to drive his car and pass it to me like here, take it. I was like woohoo! I grabbed the key and hopped into the car, preparing to move off when the fuel gauge indicator starts beeping. I just shut off without putting the gear back to neutral. After the show, when he starts the car, the car reverse back, and luckily his reaction were quick. It was a close call as there was a pillar behind.

He went to pump petrol and drove me home. The best thing was even after that incident, he let me drive his car around my estate.  I’m so used to my training car that when I’m driving his car, it was real jerky.

Damn am I lucky or what today?
