I’ve been job haunting recently but due to me being picky and lazy, I turned down a few job offers. I even turned up for a job but on the first day I gave my resignation letter. =(

It kind of feel like that I’m useless when everyone starts asking me whether have I found a job and my answer is no. No matter what my answers were it will be an excuse. I think too much of what others might think and it affects my mentality.

It seems like many people are applying for HDB and it feels like omg. We are that old already? To be thinking of starting a family, buying house, making adult decisions when it was just yesterday that we were still playing police and thief in the playground. Time sure flies.

Taylor Jacobson has left the Rachel Zoe team, wondering where to get more news of her. I like her sense of fashion, much better than Rachel herself I believe.

Life’s a bitch

It is perpetually frustrating that I’m still not changing fast enough to be what I want to be, to have a goal in sight while others are speeding way away. It’s like my best is other’s worst and that is one of the worst feeling to feel. It’s like being a rabbit with a carrot dangling in front of you but always never being able to eat that carrot. Life is like a fucking hard race with no end in sight yet I can’t stop running just to see what is on the life road.

McDonald online

McDonald online ordering systems do not seem to be synchronized with their phone orders.  I’d registered and tried ordering online and the webpage shows that my orders did not get processed. Therefore I called up their hotline to check whether my order went thru, but the person told me my last order was somewhere in July, so I place my orders thru the phone.

Within 10mins of putting down the phone, the McDelivery guy was at my house, pleased with the fast service, we ate our happy meals happily.  However 30mins later, the same delivery guy rang our doorbell again. Told him what happen and send him on his way. No way was I going to pay for their mistake. This got me thinking that McDonald being such a big corporation, shouldn’t they be able to afford better systems? Think of the petrol, food, time wasted. All this when happen frequently can amount to quite a substantial sum?

New start

Don’t understand why jobs that I’ve always get is somewhere near east or north, never west at all. I can’t wake up in the middle of the day anymore. However I am quite enthusiastic about going back to work.

No poker face

Kenneth invited us to a ‘last’ dinner in his house as he’s moving out soon and we bought long john silver fries as appetizers. We played poker which overall I was the biggest loser of the night, luckily zixuan won enough to cover my losses and overall lost turn out to be $1. I have no poker face at all. It’s time to start listening to Poker face I think.

Food Haunts

The Cheesecake Café- Passed by this place many times and finally pop into try. However I guess as it was a Saturday night, the place was packed with people. Interior of the café looks interesting however it was full, therefore we sat outside.  Being me as usual, I ordered Peach Jelly Cheesecake, which was interesting I would say. But it didn’t taste like cheesecake. The boyfriend ordered vanilla chocolate chip cake which was much nicer.  Didn’t like the fact that everyone has to order at least an item and the seats were all place very close to each other. We can listen to stranger’s conversation so clearly and it’s hard to not hear when we are all so close to each other. Left straight after eating as the boyfriend was quite pissed off.

Old Hong Kong Tea House- We dropped in this Hong Kong Café for supper which is nestled in Katong Village.  We had the yuan yang, a mango ice cream dessert, egg tart, and la mian.  The yuan yang was diluted; the mango glutinous ice cream dessert was quite bad as the glutinous rice was hard. The egg tart was normal, but it looks way better in the picture which was the reason why I ordered it. The only saving grace was the la mien with curry sauce, crispy pig intestines, crispy, like roast pig skin with a slight intestines taste. It was a slow night and service was just as slow.

I seldom find a reason to order prata, however I found a new prata which is not bad! It’s better than egg prata as you can taste more of the egg taste. It’s the plaster prata, with the egg on top of it. I’ve never seen it on the menu of Al-Ameen Eating House, wondering can I request prata to be cooked in that way just like the Roti Prata House in Thomson.  Frankly, the prata at Al Ameen is quite sucky.The Roti Prata house service was really bad though, wave to the waiters to place orders yet we get ignored and they keep showing the hold on sign while getting other people who came after us orders.

I’ve been poisoned by my brother. He licked his cup of tea (supposedly that will clear our body of toxins) and I picked it up to drink without noticing it was his cup.
