Date

It’s been a while since I’ve been on a date with the boyfriend. Recently been hanging out with his friends and not that I don’t enjoy it. I enjoyed their company too, funny and nice people, but it’s also nice to spend some 2 people time together.

Zixuan picked me from Vivo where we then head to Robertson Quay for dessert. I finally tasted soufflé. It always looks so delicious in TV but in reality, it’s just taste eggy. After dessert, we went to Liang Court, Tampopo Restaurant for dinner.  He had the shabu shabu black pig ramen while I had the beef curry rice. The food tasted quite unhealthy, but nice.  The ramen soup based tasted quite MSG infused, just like maggi mee. But according to the zixuan, most probably there’s no MSG. Food there are not bad, prefer it over Murutama.

It was then to the Pump room for some live music. However as it was a Saturday, it was packed. There were lots of eye candy in clarke quay and the boyfriend head was spinning like 360̊̊ the whole night. The live band was not bad, almost everyone in the group sings. I love soft rock.

“Isn’t it strange that the first thing you noticed was something that was absent?… If you were in love, and were waiting for your loved one to call you, you might ‘hear’ him not calling you all evening. You arrange to meet him at the train; crowds of people are milling around about on the platform and you can’t see him anywhere. They are all in the way, they are unimportant to you.” –Sophia’s world-

Surprise Breakfast

July 15, 2009 joieiL Leave a comment

Pop over to surprise the boyfriend with KFC breakfast, but too bad, he said my questions to test whether he’s home gave the trick away.

Head out to lunch with Jihao and Kenneth at Tiong Bahru market for the famous shark meat lor mee but too bad it’s closed. Tried chocolate and dinosaur ice kachang, but still think original ice kachang is the best. We had chwee kueh too, it was not bad but it’s not really the type that i like.

After lunch we head over to Alexander for some car seeing before heading to Sunset Way for ice cream at The Daily Scoop. We tried, Sunny Strawberry, Lychee Martini, Peach Bum and Durian-Durian. Found out my tolerance level for durian ice cream is way better than the past. I used to hate the stench of it not less vomiting after a taste of it, but after trying a bite, it seems like now I only can’t stand the stench left in the mouth after eating it.

Neglected

Am feeling neglected and felt like I’m playing not even 2nd fiddle, but 3rd, 4th fiddle to everything else.

Not trying to be a bother to him but just don’t want to be discarded aside.

=(

I felt like I’m being taken for granted, hate this feeling.

Waited for him to meet for dinner and it was the first time I wish I went home instead of meeting him.  I did not even talk more than 5 sentences to him before I’m dropped off at my house. This is not the love I want. Most of the time is me going over to find him, if he’s not near, he won’t make the effort to come down. Ya, he did make the effort a few times. But it seems to goes to show how much he care, which don’t seems much.

First time shopping doesn’t make me happy

April 19, 2009 joieiL 1 comment

Dear wordpress,

Why do I always feel like some kind of obligation, like I’m ranked below everything else? I always feel like some kind of useless dumb woman, compared to his sucessful girlfriends.

Seriously I would rather not see you then to be an obligation that you have to fulfill. Don’t say things you don’t mean and that just because it was the “right words” to say. I can feel it cause you only say sweet nothings when i see you but when I don’t see you, you’re just not there.

But i still like you a whole damn lot.

Even shopping doesn’t cheer me up at the moment.

MCY’s Pro-Family Funeral Ad

April 8, 2009 joieiL Leave a comment

Recently there is a commercial that shows an Indian woman giving a eulogy at her husband funeral. It is a MCYS’ pro-family campaign to show that marriage is not all about roses and chocolates and that it is real hardwork and that nobody is perfect.

This commercial is damn good, it made me tear up. Even though the setting of the commercial is a funeral, it was tastefully done and brings out the message loud and clear. The boyfriend said I was silly for tearing up. But I find it quite touching, because even nobody is perfect, their imperfections, their quirks is part of their character which makes each and every one of us unique. And yet despite of these imperfections we still love them.

Food Exploring

April 4, 2009 joieiL Leave a comment

For the first time ever since we started dating, I’ve never seen Mr. Ng like more than twice a week. It’s usually once or sometimes twice a week, but for the very first time, I met him like 4times this week. Mr. Ng is really surprising me this week. Met him first on Tuesday as I took half day off work for driving lessons and met him for dinner and on Friday he came over for dinner and helped fixed my internet connection as well as printer problem. Then I met him again like on weekends. What’s the point of writing it down seems quite lame but I wrote it down so the next time I’m complaining about him never making any effort, I can look back and remember this.

We went to try fermented beancurd for the first time at geylang. I can say it is one dish that I will never order again. It smells like shit and the taste is the same. The inside of the bean curd is soft, just like normal bean curd and it’s the crispy skin of the bean curd that has the bas smell. If you wish to know how shit taste like, then that is a must try.

We then hopped over to Yong He Eating house for soy drink as well as fried fritters. I spotted salty soy drink and ordered that to try. Damn, it was quite disgusting to be honest. If there is a plate of fermented bean curd and salty soy drink, it will be hard to decide which to choose, and I think I would rather take the bean curd over it anytime. The salty soy drink is actually soft bean curd mixed with vinegar, spring onion and small shrimps.

Food exploring is fun.
